President Hage Geingob expresses concern over cruel acts of violence

President Hage Geingob has expressed concern about the cruel acts of violence in the country. Geingob was specifically referring to armed robberies and violence against women and children. He says the Government will leave no stone unturned in fighting crime to ensure people are protected and safeguarded. In a speech read on his behalf at the funeral service of late Andy Kazekondjo, President Geingob vowed that the law enforcement units and the judicial system will do everything to bring culprits to book. Kazekondjo died after he was shot during a fight with an armed robber who raped his sister at Windhoek's Havana informal settlement last Sunday. President Geingob said Kazekondjo's death is a loss to Namibia, describing him as brave and courageous whose only sin was to defend the defenceless. He was buried at Otjongombe village in the Omaheke Region.
