Five cases of rape, among the victims a baby boy, were recorded over the Easter long weekend. A 24-year-old man is on the run at Epangwe Village, Ohangwena Region, for raping his biological son on two different occasions. According to police, the first rape happened when the mother left her son alone with the father to run some errands. Upon her return, the baby was not sitting and walking properly and she decided to inspect his genitals where she discovered bruising around his anus. The mother however did not suspect any sexual assault. On Thursday night, it is alleged that the mother, suspect, and the victim went to bed in the same room together and the victim's mother was awoken by the victim's cries in the middle of the night. When she woke up, she found the suspect busy having anal sexual intercourse with the victim. No arrest was made as the suspect is on the run.
