Reinhold Tuyeni accused of exhuming his late father’s remains and cutting off his head denied bail

The 25-year-old Reinhold Tuyeni, who stands accused of having exhumed his late father’s remains and cutting off his head which he burnt a short distance from the cemetery, has been denied bail in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court this afternoon. Tuyeni will remain in custody and his case has been postponed to the 3rd of November to allow for legal aid representation and further investigations. He is said to have mental health issues. Tuyeni was arrested for allegedly exhuming his father’s remains at Eengolo cemetery in August on an unknown date and faces charges of violating the grave, violating a corpse and defeating the course of justice. Police Investigations in the matter continue.
