Scheduled delivery of Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines delayed

The scheduled delivery of the long-anticipated Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines has been delayed. The Ministry of Health and Social Services was to officially receive a consignment of 100 000 doses of the American made vaccine, procured through the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust, today. Though in a communication to the media earlier today, the ministry said the delivery is defered to sometime next week, only citing circumstances beyond its control.
