The case in which two siblings suspected to have murdered 22-year-old Shannon Wasserfall at Walvis Bay has been postponed to 31 May for further investigation. The state revealed that all witness statements were collected but the forensic report remains outstanding. Azaan Madisia and her younger sibling Steven Mulundu allegedly killed Wasserfall in April last year and buried her body in a shallow grave on the outskirts of Walvis Bay. The late Wasserfall had been missing since then until a tip-off, which led the police to make a gruesome discovery of her remains in October. Madisia was arrested and charged with murder and defeating the course of justice while her brother handed himself over at the Narraville Police station days later early November. The 22-year-old Mulundu, who was allegedly contacted by Madisia to help her dispose of Wasserfall’s body also has similar charges. The duo will remain in police custody but their private lawyer is expected to bring a formal bail application before their next appearance in May.
