Slow trend of vaccination hampers Namibia's progress in achieving herd immunity from COVID-19

The numbers of persons taking the second dose of COVID-19 are less than those taking the first shots. Official figures indicate that 15,1% of the eligible population has taken the first dose while only 9% are fully vaccinated. President Hage Geingob says this is concerning as the trend could derail the process of achieving herd immunity in the country.
