South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has taken over as Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation. Namibian President Dr Hage Geingob is the incoming chair of the Organ. This was announced at the just-ended 41st SADC ordinary summit of Heads of State and Government in Lilongwe, Malawi.
