Disadvantaged students from different institutions will soon have internet and technology devices through the Covid-19 E-learning initiative. The Minister of Higher Education Technology and Innovation, Dr Iita Kandjii-Murangi revealed this during the launch of the registration portal for student data devices and laptops. A research conducted by the inter-ministerial committee indicates that half of the students around the country are not well-equipped and prepared for e-learning and lacked the necessary technologies and devices to do their school work.
