A resident of Tses village, in the //Karas Region, who applied for veteran status years ago still patiently awaits for her application to be approved. Christina Basson says despite this she will continue to be a member of Swapo Party and is happy that she contributed to free the country from the claws of South Africa's apartheid regime .
