Former Member of Parliament and Deputy Lands Minister, Bernadus Swartbooi has resigned from the Swapo Party. He made the announcement in Windhoek on Thursday, saying he will now devote his life to serve Namibians in other areas and the work of the Landless People's Movement. He said he will now fight against corruption and for the landless. Swartbooi said he started a law firm and will now focus on its operations. His resignation follows his recall from National Assembly by the Swapo Party yesterday.
