TransNamib is still investigating the cause of last night's train derailment, involving 18 acid tankers, between Otavi and Otjiwarongo. The spillage from two tankers, carrying sulphuric acid caused some damage that TransNamib expects to repair in a week's time. Seven of the 18 loaded tankers derailed but did not capsize.
