Nearly 500 businesses recorded a 50% decline in turnover due to the impact of COVID-19. This was revealed during the launch of the Private Sector Development Survey for 2020/2021 in the capital on Friday. The survey, which targeted 600 companies, was conducted by the Ministries of Industrialisation and Trade, Mines and Energy as well as the GIZ. The survey was aimed at gauging the business owners sentiments as well as identifying major strengths and weaknesses in the policy framework.
