A Namibian male suspect was arrested for being in possession of mandrax tablets at Ariamsvlei Border Post on Monday around 22h00. The man, who is a truck driver at OBTE Transport, was found with brown and white mandrax tablets worth over N$120 000. It is alleged that a police officer saw the truck driver hiding a plastic bag in the nearby bushes before taking his truck for a scan. He then went back to collect the plastic bag, which lead to his arrest. This was confirmed by NAMPOL's Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in a statement. Investigation in the matter continues.
