Twelve people sustained serious to minor injuries on Saturday in the Zambezi Region in two different road accidents. The first accident happened at Chefuzwe T-junction less than 10 kilometres south of Katima Mulilo. A Toyota Corolla with a Windhoek registration number with six occupants drove into a moving construction truck driving in the same direction. Three of the six occupants sustained serious injuries while the other three got away with mild injuries. They were rushed to the Katima Mulilo State Hospital where they received medical attention. The second accident happened at Kalimbeza on the Namalubi/Isize/Luhonono road 32 kilometres east of Katima Mulilo. This involved two Toyota Pickups, one double cab and a single cab that collided head-on. All the six occupants in a single cab sustained injuries with two in serious but stable conditions. One of the seriously injured has already been transferred to Windhoek for further medical treatment.
