US extends its HIV control programme for Namibia

The United States has extended its HIV control programme for Namibia and increased the amount for its intervention to about N$1.3 billion to intensify efforts to reach epidemic control of the HIV epidemic. US Embassy Chargé d'Affaires, Jessica Long says these funds will be channelled through the U.S President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief known as Pepfar. During today's announcement in Windhoek, Long revealed that Namibia is a global leader in nearing HIV epidemic control.
