Vaccination cards no longer accepted in South Africa

Vaccination cards will no longer be accepted in South Africa, when travelling to the country. Travellers are instead expected to take vaccination certificates upon entry into that country. In a statement released by South Africa's Department of Health, travellers who are fully vaccinated must on arrival at the port of entry, produce a valid vaccination certificate and in the case of an unvaccinated traveller, a valid certificate of a negative COVID-19 test. The Executive Director in the Ministry of Health and Social Services Ben Nangombe says, the Ministry is in the process of engaging the South African authorities on the matter and will communicate with the public in due course.
