Vice-President Nangolo Mbumba has arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi to attend the 41st ordinary summit of the SADC Heads of State and Government. The Summit, which starts on Tuesday, is to be held under the theme 'Bolstering Productive Capacities in the face of COVID-19 for Inclusive, Sustainable, Economic and Industrial Transformation". SADC leaders are expected to take stock of the progress made in the promotion and deepening of regional integration. Malawi will take over the rotational chairpersonship of the bloc from Mozambique. Other agenda items include the swearing-in of the new Executive Secretary as well as a deputy for a period of five years.
