A Windhoek trial-awaiting prisoner allegedly escaped from the Katutura Magistrate’s Court whilst being escorted for the criminal process to apply for legal aid on Friday. NAMPOL in its weekend crime report on Sunday said the suspect allegedly ran away from the escorting officer, went out of the court premises via the backyard entrance, and disappeared into the riverbed. The suspect identified as Tjaseua Jackson, alias Una, is reportedly still at large and efforts to trace him are ongoing.
