As Namibians celebrated 33 years of independence yesterday, people pondered about different areas of development over the last three decades. Among other things, sport was on the agenda as well. Football analyst  Salome Iyambo and former Brave Gladiator Julien Garises touched on women's football in particular.

Football in Namibia has gone through many changes in the last few years. 

With badly maintained stadiums being one of the major concerns, unpaid salaries and in-fights among committee members have also had a severe impact on football. 

Ultimately, however, the sport made a comeback for both men and women.

Football analyst Salome Iyambo spoke about how football was back in her time and now.
