The NFA/FIFA Normalization Committee is working closely with all stakeholders, in an effort to bring the National Football games back to Namibian soil. This was revealed by Normalization Committee Member - Diina Shitula, in an exclusive interview with Nbc Sport.
. Football fans will still have to wait a while to watch their respective national teams playing at the Sam Nujoma and Independence Stadiums.
Both stadiums are still blacklisted by FIFA and CAF after they were declared unfit to host international football matches due to their deteriorating state and outdated facilities.
Situated in Olympia, the Independence stadium is the biggest in Namibia and is currently owned by Government.
It was labelled as unfit by the Confederation of African Football in 2021.
Since then, all of Namibia's home matches have been played in neighbouring South Africa, and that costs the NFA lots of money.
