The Namibian Newspaper Cup concluded on Sunday in Otjiwarongo with Khomas Region and Kavango West walking away with the championship.
The 21st edition of the Namibian Newspaper Cup concluded today with the Khomas netball team successfully defending their title against host Otjozondjupa region in a closely contested final match.
Though Otjozondjupa put up a great retaliation effort against the defending champions, Khomas region managed to play a focused and composed game, winning 34 - 26.
Khomas region head coach Enrica Farmer  outlined their game plan.
Meanwhile in the football final, Kavango West are the new champions of the Namibian Newspaper Cup as they thrashed Otjozondjupa by a whipping 2 goals to nil.
Though Otjozondjupa managed to move the ball forward the most, their finishes weren’t as perfect.
Kavango on the other hand, had less ball possession but did not waste so many opportunities when attacking.
Head Coach Simbombo Julius Kahonzo was ecstatic  after their stellar performance.
