Brave Gladiators' forward Annoushka Kordom has announced that she will be taking a step back from doing national duties, citing unresolved issues with team management, including uncertainties relating to payment.

Kordom said this on her social media platforms on Wednesday.

Kordom added that the NFA women's desk is aware of her concerns, explaining that the current SG responded to her email, acknowledging receipt and promising to send a formal response after verifying the details.

“Every time better is promised and then we get within reach, then we fall short. Now international games are being played outside Namibian borders and players are being owed for years. We express disappointment and fault is acknowledged, better is promised but it is just never delivered” Kordom said.

The player was part of the team at the 2014 African Women's Championship.  On club level, she played for the JS Academy in Namibia while she also played college soccer for Corban University in the United States.

Contacted for comment, the chairperson of the Namibia Women’s Football Association, Monica Shapua, said she "I saw Kordom’s social media post, but my office did not receive the a formal complaint from Kordom".

She acknowledged receiving the letter only on Wednesday after she requested Kordom to forward it to her.

Shapua further said she needed time to study it and would only be in a position to respond and to take up the matter with relevant parties thereafter.

Attempts to get a response from the NFA Secretary General Jochen Traut proved futile.
