Regional governors will now fall under the Office of the President, and their budgets will be transferred to the State House.

President Hage Geingob met with the governors at the State House to inform them about these changes.

Administratively, all regional governors resorted to the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development.

The Head of State further reminded the regional governors of their role as representatives of the appointing authority in a three-tier government system.
