The Namibian delegation met with the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, Wamkele Mene, on the sidelines of the Assembly.

Led by Industrialisation and Trade Minister, Lucia Iipumbu, the meeting served to update the Secretary-General on Namibia's rollout of the AfCFTA Implementation Strategy and matters concerning SACU and the validation of its proposed tariffs and general trade in the southern African region.

The Secretary-General also invited Namibia to the Intra-Africa Trade Fair scheduled for November in Egypt.
