The Namibian Swimming Federation proudly announced a total of 117 medals and the best team award from the tournament. Swimmers were welcomed by a swarm of happy parents and supporters at the Hosea Kutako International Airport.
Coach Jean, head of the delegation, stated that the team took the competition more seriously than in previous years.
They brought the top two performers in all categories for both male and female swimmers, which helped their chances.
Roselinda Matyayi and Victor Esterhuizen were awarded the Victor Loudorum prize for the female and male categories, respectively. Victor shared that his personal motivation and hard training helped him secure his win.
However, sentiments were raised on the need for more investment in swimming as a sport in Namibia.
