The Namibia Hockey Union has appointed husband and wife Trevor and Shayne Cormack as national indoor hockey men and women's coaches respectively. 

Meanwhile Johan Weyhe and Sedtric Makati are filling the position of outdoor hockey men’s and hockey 5's women’s head coaches.

In a media release on Monday, the union announced the appointment of the new national coaches, who will spearhead the development and success of hockey in Namibia across different formats. 

The release states that the experienced and highly accomplished coaches have been selected to lead and nurture talented athletes and set the stage for a bright future for Namibian hockey on both the national and international stage.

The coaches will assume their roles with immediate effect and will serve the nation until July 2026. 

“As experienced coaches, these remarkable individuals possess an unparalleled understanding of the game, making them ideal mentors for the rising stars of Namibian hockey. Their combined expertise will create a strong foundation for the growth and advancement of the sport in the country” the press brief further states.
