The sport festival  an amazing initiative, aiming to provide young people in rural communities with a platform to engage in productive activities and promote the village of Tses as a notable sporting destination. It's great to see efforts being made to keep the youth engaged and active!

In 2022, Dates Eleven of Naute Dam emerged as the champions of the football tournament, showcasing their skills and teamwork. Congratulations to them on their well-deserved victory! 

"Now we are captivated by some enchanting moments and, to celebrate this special occasion, we welcome you again to Tses and thank you for bringing us this festival, allowing us to indulge ourselves and prepare for what lies ahead, making Tses truly remarkable for that week once more"  said the chairperson of TSES  Julian Christiaan

Last year, NDF 12 Brigade proved their dominance in both the netball and volleyball tournaments, securing victories in both sports. Well done to them for their exceptional performances! 

 Village councilor Abraham Goliath also stated that "The purpose of this spring tournament is for the youth to showcase their talents for the future. This tournament is crucial in reducing alcohol and drug abuse, encouraging the youth to abstain from clubs and other insignificant places, and instead, engage in sports " 

As for the prizes, the victorious football team will receive a generous prize of fifty thousand dollars for their achievement. That's quite a reward!  The netball winners will be awarded ten thousand dollars, and the volleyball winners will receive seven thousand dollars. It's great to see the efforts being made to recognize and reward the talents of these athletes.

The announcement of the spring tournament was warmly received by the community members of Tses Village, reflecting their enthusiasm and support for such events. It's wonderful to see the community coming together and embracing the spirit of sportsmanship.                 

" This is a commendable initiative that Mr. Tsueseb introduced 11 years ago. It rescues these young boys from the clutches of street life, where drug and alcohol abuse is rampant. Having this tournament every year is a great benefit to us"

The eleventh spring sport festival is celebrated under the theme "Uphold the unity through sport," emphasizing the importance of unity and togetherness that sports can bring. Let's hope this festival continues to unite the community and inspire more young people to participate in sports.
