The acting CEO of Keetmanshoop Municipality, Catherine Boois, has resigned with immediate effect on Friday. 

Boois, an Economic Development Manager at Mariental, was seconded as an acting CEO for a three-month period in February this year. 

She had her contract renewed, which was set to expire at the end of this month. 

Boois did not give more details in her one-sentence resignation letter.

Keetmanshoop Mayor McDonald Hanse says the council has accepted Boois resignation. 

Moreover, he thanked Boois for her service, which he says was challenging.
