The Editors Forum of Namibia (EFN) will host the Journalism Awards this Thursday. The awards seek to recognise journalists for their outstanding work throughout 2021 and 2022.

Journalists will be recognised in the fields of politics and public governance, agriculture, environment, forestry and fisheries, education, health and social development, energy, visual storytelling, and sports. Winners in each category will receive a cash prize of N$15,000, while the 2023 Journalist of the Year will walk away with N$25,000.

South Africa's award-winning investigative journalist, Jacques Pauw, will grace the event.

There will also be a virtual interview during the award ceremony with Yuval Noah Harari, a world-renowned Israeli author and historian.
