Mwaikange Fillemon, a dedicated boxing instructor from Karibib, has a noble aspiration of establishing a boxing academy. However, he faces a significant challenge as he currently lacks the necessary equipment to bring his dream to life.
Fillemon is deeply passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment in his town where children can learn the art of boxing. He believes that through boxing, young individuals can develop discipline, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging.
The community sports facility in Karibib, which includes a grass pitch, a gym, and a venue that was previously used as a boxing gym, is well-maintained. However, it lacks the essential boxing equipment required for training.
In light of this, Fillemon humbly appeals to the public for assistance in restoring the functionality of the gym. He hopes to receive support and sponsorship from generous individuals who understand the importance of providing aspiring boxers in the community with a fully-equipped training facility. With their help, new champions can be nurtured and celebrated.
It's worth mentioning that Fillemon also serves as a gym instructor at the Usab Fitness Centre, where he shares his expertise and offers guidance to those seeking to improve their fitness levels. The centre, managed by Sophia Sikongo, warmly invites all residents of Karibib to join and benefit from the range of fitness activities available.
By coming together and supporting this endeavor, we can ensure that the aspiring boxers in Karibib have the resources they need to pursue their dreams and achieve greatness.
