Erongo Governor Neville Andre says young entrepreneurs who have dared to dream, take risks, and challenge the status quo represent the driving force behind economic growth and development, contributing not only to their personal success but also to the advancement of society as a whole.

The governor said this at the opening ceremony of the KNOW2GROW NEXTGEN Entrepreneurs Showcase 2023 held in Swakopmund.

Neville Andre says that in this dynamic and ever-evolving world, entrepreneurship has become more essential than ever.

Andre says it is through the spirit of entrepreneurship that they can tackle the complex challenges they face and create a better future.

He encouraged young entrepreneurs to believe in their dreams, embrace the challenges, and never lose sight of their purpose.

He urged them to surround themselves with a diverse network of mentors, collaborators, and supporters who can guide and inspire them along the way.

The governor's speech was read on his behalf by his personal assistant, Michael Jimmy.

"As we look to the future, we are witnessing a rapid transformation fueled by technological disruption and innovation. The Fourth Industrial Revolution has opened up endless possibilities and created new avenues for entrepreneurial endeavors. From artificial intelligence and blockchain to renewable energy and biotechnology, we stand at the nexus of limitless opportunities."
 
He reminded them that success is not measured solely by financial gains but by the positive impact they create in people's lives and the sustainability of their ventures.
