On Friday, Disability Sports Namibia held their annual awards ceremony in Windhoek, where athletes, coaches, and guides were recognized for their outstanding achievements and dedication throughout the year.
Athletes from various disciplines, including archery, football, netball, athletics, and basketball, among others, received accolades for their hard work and perseverance. The ceremony aimed to celebrate and honor the contributions of individuals who have excelled in their respective sports.
Notable recipients of the awards included Hilma Nangombe and Letisia Mateus in netball, Rodney Snewe in cycling, and Louise Sagaria in athletics. Coaches and guides were also acknowledged for their invaluable support and guidance.
Jo-Anne Manuel, Director of Sport in the line ministry, commended the sportsmen and women for their stellar performances and recognized their dedication to their chosen sports.
