The 2023 Fittest in the Namib CrossFit competition brought together 44 teams and 15 individuals from various parts of Namibia.

This fifth annual event, organized by Damaskus CrossFit in partnership with Connect People to People, took place in Swakopmund.

The competition kicked off with the first day held at The Mole in Swakopmund, while the second day took place at the SFC sport club in the coastal town.

Participants engaged in a series of six diverse CrossFit workouts, competing both in same-gender teams and as individuals.

The competition showcased a fusion of athletics, gymnastics, swimming, and endurance, creating an exhilarating CrossFit experience.

Athletes were tested on their overall physical fitness, including cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and agility.

They demonstrated their well-rounded athleticism through activities such as jumping, pull-ups, sit-ups, and running.

This year, the competition introduced a corporate division, adding a lighthearted CrossFit approach to the event.

While the emphasis was on fun and team spirit, participants still faced a noteworthy challenge.

The winners in each category were as follows:

Mika Pilzer in the Individual Men's division, Jessica Lofty-Eaton in the Individual Women's division, Dynamic Divas in the RX Female Team division, Lost Legends in the Masters Male Team division, Loveable and Lazy in the Scale Male Team division, Fire 2 Ice in the Master Female Team division, CFP in the RX Male Team division, LIT in the Scale Female Team division, and The Awkward Combination in the Corporate division.

The event aimed to cater to the whole family, and the organizers were thrilled to host the CrossFit community, holidaymakers, supporters, and fans in a stunning tourist destination where the desert meets the ocean.
