Telecom Namibia is standing its ground against extending the deadline for SIM card registration.

The company's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Stanley Shanapinda, instead urged those who have not yet registered to capitalise on the days that are left.

"Unfortunately, there will be no extensions for SIM registration. Go out there and get your SIM card registered; otherwise, face SIM deactivation.

Dr. Shanapinda says the company has also made an effort to bring its services closer to people, which makes accessibility to services and connectivity easier.

"We are getting our services closer to the people; we will also extend operating hours."
