Doors of economic activity and investment are wide open in the coastal town of Luderitz.
Lüderitz Waterfront Development Company Chief Executive Officer Fluksman Samuehl says development partners are working to foster economic activities and turn the town into a business hub and a tourism-preferred destination.
The Lüderitz Waterfront Development Company has set an ambition to unlock existing and emerging opportunities in the town.
"The Lüderitz Water Front is there to stimulate business growth in the town and facilitate private investment in the town of Lüderitz, and we are proud and happy about the support we are getting from the Namibian government."
The development is expected to attract visitors, both domestic and international, thereby boosting the local economy and creating new opportunities for businesses. .
"The Lüderitz Water Front being an infrastructure development entity to offer facilities will play as the driver of green hydrogen tenants to the Lüderitz Water Front development company; they are occupying our space to open up most of our facilities for companies to establish theirs and to contribute towards the economic development for both town and all that."
Samuehl pointed out that the commitment reflects the government's vision to foster economic development and create a thriving future for the region.
The CEO highlighted features of the town's transformation, which include the inauguration of the sea-view hospital and the establishment of the National Maritime Museum.
"Medical tourism, The town is planning on building its first sea-view hospital, the first of its kind in Namibia, in 2024. We are making sure that Luderitz is a town to live, stay, and study in."
