The Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture, Anna Nghipondoka, has denounced a viral video that alleges that management of the Nehale Senior Secondary School yesterday sent back 100s of learners due to unpaid hostel fees.

The minister visited the school this morning to ascertain herself with  the situation on the ground.

Only about 20 learners who had outstanding hostel fees had been asked to go and call their parents so that they could come to make payment arrangements with the school.

The majority of learners at the school have been permitted to go to the hostel by only paying a deposit.

There are about 915 learners who are all in the hostel at the school. The hostel charges about N$600.

Nghipondoka, however, reiterated that hostel fees are not abolished and called on parents to do their part.
