Today is World Wildlife Day, aimed at spreading awareness regarding sustainable practices for conserving biodiversity.

In this light, the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism is calling on members of the public to appreciate the role of wildlife in the country.

The Environment Ministry is also urging for the promotion of coexistence between humans and wildlife and the cessation of poaching.

The public is also urged to report any illegal activities against wildlife.

The day is celebrated under the theme 'Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation'.
