Namibia made its debut at the 8th Futsal AFCON in Morocco, taking on the host team and three-time champions Morocco.

Despite the loss, the Namibian team, which included 14 players chosen from hundreds across the country, gained crucial experience.

The Namibian squad, which was competing in the competition for the first time, had an excellent learning experience. Fourteen participants were chosen from hundreds of Futsal players across the country.

Moving forward, the team discussed how they would overcome future problems at comparable events.

The competition was a CAF qualifying for the FIFA Futsal World Cup. The top three teams, Morocco , Angola, and Liberia, have qualified for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
