Various wrestling clubs grappled for top honors at the National Wrestling Tournament held over the weekend.

The National Wrestling Tournament took place in Katutura at the Afterschool Center. Wrestlers between the ages of six and 20 years old competed in the tournament.

Clubs from the Afterschool Center, Swakopmund, and Stampriet battled for top honors in a thrilling series of matches.

Wrestling Coach Luis Forcelledo stated that the aim is to expand the sport within the country, with a focus on developing young athletes at the grassroots level. Forcelledo commended the Wrestling Federation for supporting the tournament. 

The event also served as a selection process for an under-15 and under-20 team that will compete in an upcoming wrestling competition in South Africa next week.
