The 2024 Rugby season heats up last weekend with the second round of fixtures promising some mouthwatering clashes.

Last weekend's rugby action promises to deliver as the league's elite teams go head-to-head.

After round 1, Wanderers leads the table with 38 points, while UNAM sits just behind in second with the same log points.

The two teams are separated only by points difference. In third place, last year's semi-finalist Kudus stands on 27 points.

The fourth spot is currently occupied by the surprise package Reho Falcons.

In 5th sits Grootfontein followed by defending champions United in 6th, while Rehoboth slots in on 7th.

The Khomasdal boys Western Suburbs continue their rebuild from 8th position while the newcomers find their first season difficult as they stagnate on the bottom of the log.

For round 2, this is how the fixtures line up. In Windhoek, defending champions United will host the northern giants Grootfontein, while top of the log Wanderers welcomes the students of UNAM in what is expected to be the game of the week. Absolute Rugby Analyst Dewald Coetzee takes us through this clash.

Elsewhere, in /Anes the soaring Reho Falcons will be hoping to keep their 5-game winning streak going as they take on Kudus. On the coast, Rehoboth's Red Bulls will be on the hunt for their first away win when they take on a struggling Dolphins in Swakopmund said Coetzee

All of the premier league games kicked off at 15:45 at their respective venues.
