The third leg of the 2024 4X4 Vasbyt action took place over the weekend just outside the port city of Walvis Bay.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, the action remained of high standard.

Known for its stunning desert landscapes and rugged terrain, Walvis Bay provides the perfect backdrop for this thrilling competition.

The 4 x4 Weskus Vasbyt is a well-known annual event that attracts off-road enthusiasts from around Namibia.

Fifteen cars entered the competition in two classes: Class C, Open Differential, and Class D, Lockers.

Participants once again faced demanding obstacles designed to test the limits of both driver and vehicle.

Due to the weather conditions, the Vasbyt was contested over eight obstacle courses, requiring drivers to demonstrate exceptional skill and strategy.

Despite the weather conditions, seasoned off-roaders and newcomers were eager to test their limits, providing a unique and memorable experience for both drivers and spectators.

As promised, it was an exhilarating event that celebrated the spirit of adventure and endurance.

Nico and Herman Theron won the D class as well as the overall title on 470 points, followed by Class C winners and second overall, Rico Bothma and navigator Jossie Maritz on 430 points.
