After an intensive five days of both theoretical and practical training, the FIVB Level-2 Coaches Course at the FIVB Development Centre in Windhoek concluded successfully last weekend.
The course was led by FIVB Course Instructor Sobomana Viateur from Benin. At the closing ceremony on Friday, all 34 candidates received certificates of completion.
The workshop's primary goals were to enhance the participants' knowledge and competence, paving the way for their recognition as FIVB coaches.
Additionally, the course provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among coaches.
Participants included local coaches as well as representatives from six African countries: Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe.
The training, supported by the Olympic Solidarity Program, aimed to develop the skills of both grassroots and professional coaches.
Throughout the course, participants were required to pass both theoretical and practical exams and complete assignments demonstrating their ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired. Successful completion of these tasks was necessary for certification.
The course concluded on a high note, with many participants expressing satisfaction with their achievements.
