Ester Abraham secured a bronze medal in the 60 kilogram category at the second African Beach Wrestling Championships held in Dakar, Senegal from June 22 to 23.

The young wrestler, representing Namibia in freestyle wrestling, was one of two Namibian athletes competing in the event. Pieter Uys participated in the 90 kg men's category.

Experience wrestlers from countries such as Senegal, The Gambia, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Togo make a competition competitive. 

Over 100 wrestlers battled it out in various weight classes for men and women. 

Abraham's bronze medal adds another achievement to her successful year, following a silver medal at the 13th African Games in Ghana and a bronze medal at the African Championship in Tunisia.

The 20-year-old who won bronze iin the 60kg category of her fights at the tournament continues to impress on the continental stage, demonstrating her talent and unwavering determination. 

This recent win marks her third medal in just one year, solidifying her position as a rising star in African wrestling.

With her dedication and talent, there's no doubt that Ester Abraham will continue to shine on the world stage. 

The Namibian wrestling federation has expressed their confidence in her potential, highlighting her as a strong contender.
