The Oshakati Golf Club in the Oshana region hosted another Nedbank for Good Series golf tournament, serving as a qualifier for the next tournament in Tsumeb.

The Nedbank for Good Series golf tournament is a unique Namibian initiative. It aims to promote annual active golf tournaments to allow local companies to support the development of the sport and raise awareness, which began 5 years ago.

The tournament brings together golfers of all ages to test their skills, create friendships, share knowledge of the game, and support various charities in the region. The DZ Golf Series coordinator Dan Zwiebel shared more details on the tournament.

Zwiebel explains the format of the game and emphasizes the need for various stakeholders to work together to further expose golf to the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, at the tournament, the 2023 defending champion Eveline Ndapanda Shilongo practiced hard to retain her title in the ladies' category.A new golfer, Helena Amunyela, who has been playing for the past 2 years, also participated among the seasoned players.
