From the streets of Zimbabwe to the world stage, one woman is inspiring a new generation of female athletes.

Thuba Sibanda, a rising star in women's football, recently celebrated the launch of her book, "A Girl from Mpopoma.

" This powerful story chronicles the journey of a young girl who defies societal expectations and carves her own path in the world of sports.

Sibanda, a native of Mpopoma, Zimbabwe, is a FIFA/CAF Women's Football Technical Expert and the head coach of the UNAM Bokkies women's football team. 

Her passion for football ignited in her childhood, and today, she uses the sport as a tool for empowerment.
The book launch marks a new chapter for Sibanda, who hopes to inspire young girls to chase their dreams, regardless of societal constraints. 

Despite her busy schedule filled with official duties, Sibanda dedicates her time to mentoring young athletes and dreams of penning another book in the future.

"A Girl from Mpopoma" serves as a testament to the transformative power of sport and Sibanda's dedication to fostering a more inclusive environment for girls in athletics.

Sibanda dedicates the book to her late brother, who held her hand in a world that wasn't very accepting of a girl child on the field.
