Julian Jooste, representing Top Gear Cycling Club, explained that they are hosting this event because Dagbreek School urgently requires six new classrooms due to insufficient space despite having teachers.

He emphasized the importance of providing better classrooms for special needs children to enhance their education.

''In Karibib, the event is strategically located near the mine triangle, where there are individuals with special needs residing in Karibib and Maruru "We chose cycling because it aligns with our club's passion, and there are students at Dagbreek School with disabilities who also cycle."," Jooste stated.

He also highlighted a previous achievement, mentioning a learner who won first place in a competition held in Germany last year. "This event aims to promote cycling awareness at our school, where we already have dedicated trainers," he added.

There will be various prizes and each participant will receive a medal," Jooste announced.

He concluded by stating that this event is not a one-time occurrence but will continue annually for the next 3 to 5 years in Karibib. Additionally, there are plans for a future mountain biking business relay event where companies can compete against each other.
