Following their 5-0 loss in the COSAFA Cup final on Sunday in Port Elizabeth, the Brave Warriors touched down back home on Tuesday morning.

Originally scheduled to fly back Monday evening, the Brave Warriors arrived safely on a chilly Tuesday morning at the Hosea Kutako International Airport.

Deputy Minister of Sport, Youth & National Service, Emma Kantema-Gaomas, was present to receive the team upon their arrival. SB After a short journey back to the capital city, the team received a warm welcome from the NFA staff.

Secretary General of the NFA, Charles Siyauya, congratulated the team for reaching the COSAFA Cup final.

While most of the players approached by NBC Sport declined to comment, right winger Simon Elago shared his experiences in South Africa.

The team returned in a smaller group, with some players departing for pre-season training with their respective clubs.
 

Others remained for trials after being scouted by South African-based clubs.
