The Landless People’s Movement (LPM) has expressed concern over the low turnout for the general registration of voters (GRV) nationwide. 

The party urges the public to register for voter cards to participate in the upcoming November elections.

The party’s leader, Bernadus Swartbooi, says he is concerned over the preliminary statistics for the GRV, which show Namibians are not registering as expected. 

Swartbooi says he is worried that Namibians could have given up on politics, stressing that only registered citizens can vote and "bring about the change the country needs."

Swartbooi reminded people why they should vote for LPM, saying the party’s guiding principle is ‘Namibia First,’ with a focus on improving living standards by addressing land issues, sanitation, employment, food insecurity, gender-based violence, and basic income grants.

Swartbooi also added that if elected, LPM will empower young people to lead the country to greatness.
The party held a public meeting, themed "Embracing Cultural Diversity, in Windhoek on Saturday.
