Elaine Engelbrecht was crowned Miss Teen 2024 at a glittering ceremony held at Luderitz last night.

Winning the Miss Teen title was an overwhelming and emotional moment for 15-year-old Engelbrecht, a student at Centaurus High School.

Caitlin Bosman is the first runner-up, while Queen Sheya was named the second runner-up.

Engelbrecht says she will begin implementing advocacy initiatives and getting ready for the Miss Teen International 2025 competition.

The annual Miss Teen Beauty Pageant focuses on empowering young women between the ages of 13 and 19 and aims to provide a platform for teenage girls from across the country to showcase their beauty, talents, intelligence, and community involvement.

The Miss Teen 2024 crowning ceremony was hailed as a great success by both Willy Mertens, CEO of De Beers Marine Namibia, the principal sponsor of the beauty pageant, and nbc Director General Stanley Similo.

Miss Namibia 2024 will be crowned this evening.

The prestigious event will be broadcast live on all nbc platforms starting at 19:00.
