The Secretary of the Swapo Elders Council (SEC), Mukwaita Shanyengana, urged the council members to mobilise all the eligible voters to register to participate in the November elections. 

He said this during the Council's Central Committee meeting.

Shanyengana says it's the member votes and those of the supporters that will see Namibia's first female president. 

He reminded the members of the central committee to spread the message of unity.

The meeting will also elect two people to represent the Elders Council in Parliament.
